Experience

SHOOK PR was founded out of love of helping others and a vision that all people- even those who may feel professionally muffled by larger systems or entities- should be able to market their visions. 

 

Since 2007, Blair Castro has worked on elections on both sides of the political spectrum. She holds 12 campaign certifications and has a proven track record of success. Blair has also been a ghostwriter for over 10 years, and has written articles, political platforms, reports, quotes, and blogs for some of the area's most notable community leaders. 

Commitment

 

Blair is a West Pensacola native who is deeply committed to the educational and economic growth of the area she grew up in. She is the mother of two children and also is the managing co-owner of local digital newspaper, THE PULSE. She is a current board member of the Mass Transit Advisory Committee (MTAC), appointed to represent the City of Pensacola by Mayor Grover Robinson in 2019, as the Director of Government Affairs for the Monument to Women Veterans. She is a past board member of Sunday's Child, Keep Pensacola Beautiful, the Institute for Women in Politics, Panhandle Tiger Bay, and the Central Florida Gay and Lesbian Law Association, among other organizations. Blair attends Christ Church Pensacola and is a person of deep faith. She is a member of Leadership Pensacola's Class of 2021.

 

Education

She also holds a Juris Doctor degree from Barry University School of Law, where she was the President of OUTlaw, the school's LGBTQIA+ student organization. She also holds a Master's of Science degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, where she graduated with a 3.83 GPA and obtained awards in Project & Team Management, as well as Media & Publishing Distribution. 

Blair also holds a graduate certificate in Conflicts from Religious Traditions from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel where she studied conflict resolution and religious mediation first-hand. She graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Pre-law/Political Science from the University of West Florida at the age of 19. 

Nicholas Dinwiddie

Marketing Specialist

Nick grew up the son of a salesman, always observing how his father conducted business. He gained an early knack for sales and professionalism. At a young age, Nick was attentive toward his educational pursuits dual-enrolling with the local community college, and found his passion for music. Nick joined the band, learning to play the trumpet. His time in music instilled virtues like discipline and perseverance. 

Nick started a new chapter in his life at Troy University where he gained extensive and varying experience. After a little bit of trial and error, Nick changed majors from Music Industry to Global Business while retaining Music Industry as a minor. For two summers Nick had the experience to have an internship at a music publishing company as the manufacturing coordinator and artist liaison. He spent a year studying abroad in Japan, fostering cultural diversity and understanding. Nick assisted in the ESL department and joined several international Communications Clubs, giving him experience in international relations and communication. Later, Nick became the business and legal affairs manager for a concert production team; managing a touring band’s finances and legal contracts. He gained substantial knowledge and contacts after joining the American Marketing Association.

After graduating from Troy with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administrating, focusing in Global Marketing, Nick joined Shook PR's team. He has also works as a paraprofessional in a High School, providing mentorship and guidance to troubled or special needs students.
